Overview
This art museum features the work of the artist Hendrik Mesdag. The museum’s highlight is the extraordinary 360-degrees painting. It’s Europe’s biggest circular painting, measuring 120 meters (393 feet) long, 14 meters (46 feet) high, and a diameter of nearly 40 meters (131 feet). It was completed in 1881 and shows Scheveningen as it was then, with an artificial dune in the center, enhancing the admiring feeling you’ll get when standing in the middle of the room.
