Overview
The Charles Bridge connects Old Town (Staré Mesto) and Lesser Town (Malá Strana) over the Vltava River. This stone pedestrian bridge construction was completed at the beginning of the 15th century, and it’s still one of the most iconic structures in Prague. It measures 516 meters long (1,693 ft) and features 30 saint statues that line the bridge. It’s beautiful and a must-see if you’re in Prague, but it is one of the world’s busiest and most crowded pedestrian bridges, full of tourists and street vendors.
