General Info FAQWhen To Travel

The Charles Bridge connects Old Town (Staré Mesto) and Lesser Town (Malá Strana) over the Vltava River. This stone pedestrian bridge construction was completed at the beginning of the 15th century, and it’s still one of the most iconic structures in Prague. It measures 516 meters long (1,693 ft) and features 30 saint statues that line the bridge. It’s beautiful and a must-see if you’re in Prague, but it is one of the world’s busiest and most crowded pedestrian bridges, full of tourists and street vendors.

The best seasons to visit Prague are spring and fall when the weather is mild, and there are fewer tourists. Summertime means warmer temperatures and many tourists. It also means higher hotels and flights rates. Prague also enjoys many visitors during the Christmas season, but note that you should expect a fair amount of snow and low temperatures. * Remember to check the weather forecast few days before the trip and before heading to the airport. *
